We all understand that schools are an essential part of any child’s life. We use schools to teach our children the skills in which they will need throughout every day life. As well as providing our offspring with skills for specialist subjects, such as art, electronics and IT, in which they chose to learn about. Hopefully after their time at school they will be able to turn these skills into a trade for themselves.

The chances are that many of us will attend a school of some nature throughout our lives so we can continually learn new skills, for example we will attend a driving school so we can obtain a license, or if you are interested in a sport such as tennis or golf you will go to a school which can teach you the skills required for that activity.

The majority of cultures have used schools and schooling techniques to teach us the skills we require to survive for hundreds of years. The Romans invented the first real books that their pupils to could use write down information to make it easier to learn how to write, spell, learn different languages and much more. School help the Romans to pass on the years of knowledge they accumulated throughout their vast empire, so the next generation could carry on and even improve on this knowledge.
